Personal profile

Research

I am a PhD student at the Department of Astronomy and Theoretical Physics at Lund University, where I work with the atomic astrophysics group, supervised by Assoc. Prof. Henrik Hartman and Dr. Hampus Nilsson.

My research aims at providing new and/or improved atomic data, with focus on oscillator strengths, in the infrared region for some select elements. To do this I perform spectroscopic measurements as well as utilize large scale atomic structure computer packages (ATSP2K, GRASP2K). The oscillator strengths are crucial for accurately determining the elemental abundances in astronomical objects such as stars and nebulae.
