Research
My research interests are the application of biocatalysts including microorganisms and enzymes in industrial biotechnology for the production of bio-based platform chemicals, specialty chemicals, and materials from renewable resources. Screening and development of biocatalysts, using microbiology, molecular biology, and bioinformatics techniques. Development of new bioprocess, chemical process, and integrated biological and chemical process for the production of potential polymer building block chemicals. The current focus of my research is the sustainable utilization of renewable resources for recyclable plastic towards the circular economy.
