Personal profile

Research

My research interests include historiography, memory studies and historical justice, with a special focus on state redress. In my PhD thesis in History, I explored the dilemmas that arise with reparations for past injustices. More specifically, the study traces the process leading up to the enactment of two temporary Swedish laws on economic compensation for victims of involuntary sterilization and neglect and abuse in foster homes and orphanages. Since 2021, I am part of the cross-disciplinary project  "Truth and Reconciliation in the Nordic countries" (TRiNC), based at the Danish Institute for International Studies (DIIS) and funded by the Danish Research Council.
