Research
My research is on production and consumption patterns in the early modern household. The goal of the project is to investigate the level of market integration of the early modern household, and through that test the theoretical validity of the so called ‘Industrious Revolution’ within Swedish conditions; the idea that an increased access to consumption goods led to an increase in working hours as people sought to increase their income, which accelerated the economic development.
