Personal profile

Research

I am a specialist in neurology with particlar interest in epilepsy. My research evolves around the functional and structural imaging in epilepsy. The structural imaging involves high-field MRI (7T) and the improvement of lesional diagnostics in patients with epilepsy. The functional imaging, fMRI, involves imaging of language and memory in patients with therapy-resistent epilepsy. The cogntive aspect, measuered by neuropsychological tests, in patients with epilepsy is also under investigation. I have a colloboration with a pre-clinical group further investigating neurophysiological aspects of therapy-resistent epilepsy
