Personal profile

Research

I'm a PhD student with a M.Sc. in Bioinformatics from Lund University, Sweden and a B.Sc. from the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, Greece. I'm part of the Neural Stem Cell lab at the Department of Experimental Medical Science, working with Professor Anna Falk. Our group is focused on studying early human neurogenesis, by building cellular models of the healthy and diseased human brain from reprogrammed patient cells. My research focus is studying the mechanisms controlling the proliferation, self-renewal and differentiation potential of iPS cells to neural cells so that we make them compliant with Good Manufacturing Processes (GMP) and move forward to the route to the clinic.
