My main focus is on fetal research, and in particular on the fetal heart. I aim to investigate ways of making fetal cine magnetic resonance imaging more widely available.

Accurate imaging of congenital abnormalities and quantitative evaluation of heart function are essential for delivery planning and interventions after birth or in-utero. Fetal cardiovascular MRI is a diagnostic method, aiming to diagnose congenital heart defects before the patient is born, and thereby providing optimal care in early life.

In my project I will develop an advanced MRI platform for interrogating fetal diseases in the clinic for congenital heart defects. We aim to make this MRI platform such that it is can be used clinically by technologists and physicians without the interference of an engineer.
