Research

Marléne Isaksson is an occupational dermatologist and Professor in occupational dermatology conducting research within the field of occupationally and environmentally caused skin diseases with focus on contact dermatitis. In 2000 she defended her thesis in experimental dermatology, which dealt with contact allergy to corticosteroids. She has continued working within the field of contact allergy/allergic contact dermatitis in connection to the following: disperse dyes, acrylates, preservatives, metals, skin problems in professional icehockey players. Other areas are hand eczema and its influence on hand function and systemic influence of haptens on patch test reactivity.
