Research

I work as a researcher in the Department of Communication (IKO). Currently, I am involved in two projects: DIG-NAV (funded by FORTE) and MEME-ORIAL (PI, funded by VR). The former explores how migrants navigate the labour market through digital means in Malmö, Sweden. The latter looks at the politics of memory in Northern Ireland, zooming in on how memes which reference the troubled past are made sense of in the context of present-day Belfast. In addition to these research projects, I also teach courses and supervise theses in media and communication studies in the department.
