Research

Mathieu Gisselbrecht is an Associate Professor at the Department of Physics of Lund University, on secondment from CNRS. His research interests are related to fundamental problems in quantum physics and chemistry, understanding energy transfers in matter and their applications in aerosol chemistry. His group has a long-standing expertise in working with kinematically complete experiments that have revolutionized studies of small quantum systems over the past decades. The current research activities of the group focus on ultrafast elementary processes in atoms, molecules and clusters using intense pulsed X-ray light sources, such as attosecond light sources, free electron laser and synchrotron radiation.
