Research

My research in the Aquatic Biogeochemistry group focus on how organic nutrients bioavailability controls productivity in freshwater and coastal ecosystems. More specifically, the effects of nutrient loading from terrestrial areas (many times by anthropogenic drivers) on productivity and diversity.

I am interested in various ecological topics and conservation biology, in special how climate change influences the environment and its effects on different species with a focus in microorganisms.
