Personal profile

Research

I am currently a member of the Neuroendocrine Cell Biology Group headed by Nils Wierup in Lund University Diabetes Centre. My research focuses on single-cell sequencing of the small intestinal epithelium. My previous research focused on the mechanisms of remission of Type 2 Diabetes after gastric bypass surgery. I am particularly interested in the differences in small intestinal biology between diabetics and non diabetics and would like to further understand these differences in order to develop better treatments for Type 2 Diabetes.
