Personal profile

Research

My research interests revolve around how the brain perceives sounds and learns to interpret them as speech sounds, and how the brain can control coordinated movements and how this ability is affected by aging. To study this, I use magnetic resonance imgagin (MRI) methods, behavioral experiments, and electroencephalography (EEG).

I divide my time between Lund and Copenhagen universities. In Lund, I am part of TEAM and research how the adult brain can learn new connections between prosody and grammar. In Copenhagen, I research how the brain's functional and structural networks enable the coordination of hands in fine motor tasks and how aging affects both the brain networks and bimanual fine motor skills. I am lecturer in the division of logopedics, phoniatrics, and audiology where I teach acoustics and signal processing.
