Research

"Mohsen Bayat Pour", preferred name "Iman" is a Doctoral Student (Doktorand) in the Division of Structural Engineering at Lund University, Sweden. He holds dual Bachelor’s degrees in Civil Engineering, with a specialization in structural design, and Mechanical Engineering, focusing on heat and fluid transfer. Additionally, he has completed two Master’s degrees: one in Hydraulic Structures, where he conducted research on fiber-reinforced concrete, and another in Energy-Efficient and Environmental Building Design from Lund University (LTH). His industrial experience spans structural and infrastructure project design, management, and supervision, as well as mechanical systems engineering, building physics consulting, Life Cycle Costing (LCC), and Life Cycle Assessment (LCA).

Iman's research interests lie in numerical analysis and advanced simulations for structural design, building physics (energy, thermal, and moisture transfer), mechanical systems, and sustainability assessments (LCA and LCC), with a focus on integrating AI and machine learning.

His PhD research is centered on developing AI-based and probabilistic methods for thermal and moisture transfer modeling (using FEM tools), decision analysis, and sustainability assessments (LCA and LCC).
