Personal profile

Since 2018, I have been a doctoral student at the Department of Health Sciences at Lund University, and are affilated to the research group "Active and Healthy Aging". My PhD project focuses on different home aspects and the relation to health among people with Parkinson's disease. My supervisors in this project are Susanne Iwarsson (main supervisor), Maria Nilsson, and Björn Slaug (co-supervisor).

The research in this dissertation is based on existing data from the project "Home and health in people aging with Parkinson's disease" (PI: Maria H. Nilsson). As the overall goal is to generate knowledge about the home and health dynamics for this population, I hope that this knowledge will be useful both in individual rehabilitation efforts and also support health promotion and housing initiatives that support active and healthy aging among people with Parkinson's disease.

Professional work

I graduated as an occupational therapist in 2006 from Lund University. My clinical background is in specialized rehabilitation for persons with chronic diseases, such as Multiple sclerosis, Parkinson’s disease and dementia. I also have a master in medical science.
