Personal profile

Research

The Norlin Team is excited about molecular profiling of tissues and cells with aim to enhance our capabilities witin diagnostics and prognostics. Our research bridges microscopy, image analysis, and hardware & software development. Our main applications center around the lung and cancer.

We also develop various other hardware and software solutions for the life sciences. Occasionally we venture into neuroscience, infection-, molecular- or developmental-biology in collaboration with other research groups. The lab is strategically located at the medical faculty, in close proximity to both LTH and the Physics Department, and ideally situated to take on interdisciplinary projects.

Recently, we have started to invest time into autonomous automation both for lab equipment and microscopy. Nils has a background in physics, chemistry, and molecular biology with postdoc experience from e.g. European molecular biology laboratory focusing on microscopy hardware and method development.

Nils is a member of several research communities and networks (e.g. QUAREP-LiMi, GESTALT ans SMWG) and open source software projects.

Our team is constantly looking for additional recruitments and currently we have oppertunities for MSc thesis projects and postdoc scholarships. Come join us!
