Research

Specialized in ecotoxicology, my research interests mainly focus on the evaluation of the health of ecosystems in relation to contaminant inputs, by linking ecology and ecotoxicology to better understand multiple stress impact on organisms. Specifically, I try to uncover how low, chronic exposure to chemical pollution may result in subtle effects that may be deleterious for the organisms involved. I aim to investigate the fate and impact of chemical pollution on wild organisms (from bacteria to vertebrates) at different biological scales. For these reasons, I try to develop an integrated multidisciplinary approach to better explore the relationship between contaminant exposure and ecological effects. To achieve this goal, my research relies on field and experimental studies under controlled conditions.
