Research

Oksana MONT is a Professor in Sustainable Consumption Governance at the International Institute for Industrial Environmental Economics at Lund University and a Wallenberg Scholar. She has a PhD in Industrial Environmental Economics from Lund University (2004), an MSc in Environmental Management and Policy from Lund University (1996), and an MSc in Biology and Chemistry from Kharkiv State University, Ukraine (1992). She conducts trans-disciplinary research on sustainable and post-growth business models, sustainable consumption and lifestyles and sustainable consumption policy. She is a (co)-editor of several books: “Myths about Sustainable Consumption: Dispelled” (2026), “Understanding the Urban Sharing Economy. Sustainability and Institutionalisation” (2025); “Research Agenda for Sustainable consumption governance” (2019), and “Sustainability and the Political Economy of Welfare (2016), Routledge. She is the author of more than 250 academic publications and official reports on various aspects of sustainability transformation. She is involved in high-level consultancy for international and national organisations. Oksana has over 20 years of project leadership.
