Working with the ALICE collaboration to experimentally study Quantum Chromodynamics in the non-perturbative regime, i.e. describe how the insides of hadronic particles such as protons behave, especially in dense and hot environments. Specifically, using new observables such as transverse spherocity and underlying event activity to pin down the quark-gluon plasma-like behaviours, e.g. strangeness enhancement and collective flow, in pp collisions at LHC energies. These new observables are particularly powerful as probes of the effect of multiple partonic interactions within a single event.
