Current Research

Per Wickenberg’s research focuses on norms and norm-creating processes in organizations and companies and also has a keen interest in norm-supporting structures in this context, as well as in leadership, expectations and normative behaviour patterns.

Education as a form of influence, that is as a steering mechanism and a driving force, interests him. For many years he has conducted research and teaching on the environment, sustainable development and environmental education. Democracy, participation and empowerment are other important approaches in the sociology of law-research.

Per Wickenberg has served as national coordinator of the research network "Education and Sustainable Development" (”Utbildning och hållbar utveckling”) with funding from VR, the Swedish Research Council (2000-2008) and for the past 17 years he has been working as a supervisor, mentor and teacher in the international training programme at Lund University " Child Rights, Classroom and School Management " (2003-2020) which focuses on the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child (UNCRC) and funded by SIDA. 

Since 2015 Wickenberg is one of the founders and former coordinator at Child Rights Institute, CRi, at Lund University. CRI is a multidisciplinary network within Lund University with some 40 researchers from six different faculties at Lund University.
