Research

My research focuses on a detailed process level understanding of atmospheric aerosol formation, aerosol cloud climate interactions and air pollution. I am the founder, main developer and user of the process-based chemistry transport model ADCHEM (2D-Lagrangian model for Aerosol Dynamics, gas-phase CHEMistry and radiative transfer, Roldin et al., ACP, 11, 5867–5896, 2011) and the laboratory smog chamber model ADCHAM (Aerosol dynamics, gas- and particle-phase chemistry kinetic multilayer model for laboratory CHAMber studies) (Roldin et al., ACP, 14, 7953–7993, 2014).
