My focus areas are phonetics and neurolinguistics. Currently I investigate how the processing of speech sounds goes from acoustic analysis to top-down categorical perception. In my thesis work, I aim to test the Dual-Complexity Gradient theory of speech perception (Roll 2018) by mapping the processing of Swedish vowels to the relevant structures in the brain. I am also interested in individual variation of sound processing patterns.
