- Changing preconditions for developing a moden civil defence

 

-Regional cooperation and security, primarily concerning Europe (the dynamics of European integration and security, EU external relations, Baltic Sea cooperation, and the transatlantic link) but increasingly also about the Asia-Pacific.


- Global political order, specifically concerning global power shifts, multilateralism, institutional developments, regionalism and norm evolution.

- Global political economy, specifically development issues, global and regional trade, and strategic flows and dependencies.
