Doctoral Research:

My PhD dissertation is titled "Unsettled City: Neoliberal redevelopment, state crisis, slum resettlement & biopolitical struggle in Mumbai". Building on an ethnographic exploration, I engage with two mega urban renewal projects, and multi-scaler and multi-site slum clearances, resettlements and socio-political dynamism. The project furthers situated understanding of postcolonial Marxism, governmentality, state bureaucracy, and bio-necropolitics. It is a compilation dissertation with a comprehensive discussion and four journal articles.
