Personal profile

Research

My research interests include changes in the welfare and integration systems and the role of civil society organizations from a cross-national comparative perspective. I have been engaged in studies of civil society actors’ mobilization, advocacy activities and collaboration with public authorities. I have also conducted studies on the Europeanization of Swedish civil society. Since 2019 I have been involved in a research program on civil society elites focusing on leaders and power concentration in civil society in England, Italy, Poland, Sweden and at EU-level. I'm currently working on a research project about civil society and populism focusing on how the rise to power of populist parties affects State-civil society relations.
