Personal profile

Research

I am a doctoral student at LUCSUS in the NATURICE project. I study concerns of water scarcity and changing agricultural livelihoods in cryospheric environments in the Western Himalayas. I also study changing resource governance and technologies developed to address water scarcity. I take a political ecology approach to critically examine the power relations and inequalities emerging within these transformations in the era of climate change and cryospheric changes.

I hold a bachelor's degree in Economics and Sustainable Development from Azim Premji University (Bangalore, India) and a Master's degree in Environmental Studies and Sustainability Science from Lund University. Prior to starting my doctoral studies, I researched the role of Kerala's urban employment guarantee scheme in improving urban commons and human well-being. I have previously worked at an environmental justice NGO and as an illustrator.
