Research

As a doctoral student at the Nordenfelt Lab, I am interested in exploring the intricate ways in which the immune system detects and responds to threats such as bacteria, viruses, and cancer at the cellular level. Antibodies play a great part in this process. Building on previous work from the Nordenfelt Lab, my current project aims to enhance breast cancer immunotherapy by engineering antibodies for improved functionality. This entails the study of effector functions such as antibody-dependent phagocytosis, cytotoxicity and complement deposition.
