Personal profile

Research

In my different research projects I have a combined interest of questions about literary aesthetics, literary value and about how literature interacts with the society at large. My research has, among other things, been involving issues of genre and how genres are influenced by the norms of society at a specific time and a specific place. The main focus has so far been on crime fiction, but I have also conducted research about children's literature and other popular genres. I also have an interest in how genres and authorships function on the book market, and how they are promoted through traditional as well as digital marketing channels. The different projects conducted have connections to the interdisciplinary field of cultural studies. Other fields of relevance are media history and publishing studies.
