Research

I work in mathematical analysis, and in the last few years I have been working with applications in mathematical biology. Among the areas I have been working in I am mentioning:

  • Calculus of variations and critical point theory, with applications to semilinear second order partial differential equations,
  • Embedded eigenvalues within spectral theory for operators occuring in mathematical physics, e.g. quantum mechanics,
  • The theory of age structured cell cycle models with applications to cancer research,
  • Mathematical theory of mass action systems in neuro science.
