Together with my students and collaborators, we carry out research with the overall aim of improving access to, and the quality of, evidence-based mental health care for a range of difficulties. Current projects include:
1) Evaluating an internet-delivered, therapist-assisted, psychological flexibility focused intervention for chronic cancer-related pain, fatigue, and emotional distress. Funded by the Swedish Cancer Foundation.
2) Improving psychosocial outcomes in women with cancer. Funded by FORTE and the Swedish Research Council.
3) Increasing access to personalized care for pediatric anxiety disorders: a large-scale randomized controlled trial of stepped versus stratified care. Funded by FORTE, ALF-Medicine (Region Skåne), Crafoord Foundation. https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/40839295/
4) Scalable approaches to reducing alcohol and other drug use among traumatised young people: An RCT examining the safety, effectiveness, and cost-effectiveness of an integrated cognitive-behavioural therapy delivered via telehealth. Funded by Medical Research Future Fund (Australia). https://bmjopen.bmj.com/content/15/6/e102710.info
5) Identifying moderators and mediators of outcome in psychotherapy for anxiety and depression in adults. Funded by Crafoord Foundation and Social Sciences Faculty, Lund University
6) A 10+ year follow-up of adults treated psychotherapy for panic disorder with and without agoraphobia (Project POSE).
7) Longitudinal study of mental health difficulties in adolescents with gender dysphoria.
8) Examining the role of psychological flexibility in wellbeing and functioning in adults with systemic lupus erythematosus.
9) Developing a scalable intervention to prevent self-harm and emotional distress in children and adolescents.
