Research

My research is about the concept of politics and whether it is possible to conceptualize an outside to such a concept - without closing down important critical resources. In my dissertation, I have a specific focus on the need for such an outside in understanding - and in enabling - radical political change.

Closely related to this, I am also interested in the distinction, and relationship, between scientific reserach and politics. In my dissertation, the problem of post-truth and 'fake news' function as an access point into the broader question of politics' outside.

I am furthermore interested in the role of feelings such as guilt and shame in enabling political transformations. I have previously written about emotional responses to acts of terror, with assemblage theory as a methodological framework.
