Teaching

Teaching philosophy

My recent and current scholarship and teaching philosophy:

My teaching has for many years circled around strategy, organization and leadership. To a large extent my teaching strategy has been based on experience and problem based teaching.

(1)    Technology management master program – in which I held one course on Strategy (semi-flipped classroom) and one on Teamwork & Leadership (totally based on action-learning)

(2)    Master in Marketing – in which I held a course on Market Intelligence (based on a real-life client case where students in teams conducted market intelligence work)

(3)    Master in Management – in which I give/gave modules in most of the courses. (a) The concept of leadership; (b) Understanding management; (c) Organizational design; (d) Learning, development and change; (e) Thesis supervisor

Outreach

I am involved as an advisor in several start-up companies in the regional Venture system as well as a board member of Axiell Group - a leading global software vendor to Museums, Archives, Libraries and Schools.

Professional work

Since 1995 I have also worked as a partner in a consulting firm focusing on strategy and management development.
