Research

My main research focus is to provide zooarchaeological perspectives on social change and dynamics in prehistory, using macro- and micro-scale; investigating long- and short term trends. Currently, I am diving into the zooarchaeology of Iron Age southern Scandinavia. I study sheep management and its relation to wool production in Late Iron Age, using the animal bones from settlement sites in Scania. I have recently published a book (with a catalogue) on animal husbandry during the long Iron Age (Animal husbandry in Iron Age Scania, with a catalogue — Lund University).

I also work part-time as specialist in zooarchaeology at Sydsvensk Arkeologi, a contract archaeology firm specialising in southern Sweden. Technical reports can be found here: Publicerat (sydsvenskarkeologi.se)
