Personal profile

Research

For many years, I have been engaged in sociological research on ageing, sociological cancer research, public health, antimicrobial resistance, ethics, and the methods and theory of health science research. My work is driven by a deep interest in understanding human interactions—particularly how encounters between individuals with different social positions, lifestyles, and perceptions of health and illness shape experiences within the healthcare system. I also explore the interplay between health policy, organisational structures, and human lives.

My research primarily employs qualitative methods to investigate sociological questions in health science. I have extensive experience in qualitative research methodologies and systematic literature reviews.
