Personal profile

Research

I had the privilege in October 2016 to start working as a PhD student in Professor Ulrika Bejerholms research team, Mental Health, Activity and Participation. My thesis concerns; Mobilizing an integrated return-to-work intervention for peopel with affective disorders-Evaluating individual, professional and employer changes and outcomes and the need for mobile health support at work.

I have during my clinical work come across individuals facing these challenges in life and I feel extremely motivated to be able to now do research in this field.

In 2001, I graduated as an Occupational Therapist from the Karolinska Institute in Stockholm and began work on a geriatric ward at Danderyd Hospital in Stockholm and also later in Oncology at the Karolinska Hospital. In 2003, I moved to England for 3 years and worked both in Orthopaedics and Neurological teams at The Nottingham City Hospital. When I returned to Sweden I continued in Orthopaedics care at SUS in Malmö and then moved on to a private healthcare company where I worked with rehabilitation at two nursing homes. Among other things I was responsible for ergonomic training among the staff and started an activity in collaboration with Malmö Colleagues and a cat rescue centre where the residents had the opportunity to participate in cat therapy.

I graduated with a Masters degree from Lund University and in 2013 had the fortune to take on the role as a Project Administrator. This job gave me a very important foundation for my present role as a PhD student.
