Research

  • Work and care
  • Research on families and relationships
  • Welfare state changes and inequalities
  • Qualitative methods

I am currently involved in two different research projects.

I am PI for the project "RUT tax deductions for the elderly: New conditions for care practices" (FORTE 2022-00566) in which I, together with Sara Eldén, Department of Sociology, study the growing market of RUT services specifically targeting the elderly. The project is a qualitative study where we analyse policy material and debates, as well as interview companies offering these services, care workers, the elderly and their relatives.

In the project "Intergenerational care in Sweden. A study of relationships, commitments, and practices of care in everyday family life" I, together with Sara Eldén (PI) and Linn Alenius Wallin (PhD student) Department of Sociology, study care relations between generations in today's Sweden with a particular focus on different forms of inequalities and changes in the welfare state (VR 2018-01053).

I teach and supervise on all different levels.
