Personal profile

My research interests are mainly in family and close relationships, work, care and inequalities of everyday life. I am currently involved in two different research projects, both together wth Sara Eldén, Lund university. The project "Care for children in an era of private market services: A study of nannies, children and parents", focuses on the growing private child care market in Sweden (nannies and au pairs) (RJ P13-0603:1). In the project "Intergenerational care in Sweden. A study of relationships, commitments, and practices of care in everyday family life" we study care relations between generations in today's Sweden with a particular focus on different forms of inequalities (VR 2018-01053).

In my dissertation "Family Meal paradoxes" (2012, Lund University) I studied family meals from a family practice perspective, looking in particualar at intersections of class and gender. I have also worked as a researcher in Christine Roman's (Örebro University) and Åsa Lundqvist's (Lund University) research project 'Lone Mothers and Long Hours. Gender and work in a new welfare regime'.
