Timmi Jörgensen

I am working on the dynamics of stars in stellar clusters where the stellar clusters undergo interactions with objects such as the galactic bar, spiral arms, and giant molecular clouds (GMCs). This is done in order to investigate the orbits of clusters and stars which are ejected from these stellar clusters in dynamical encounters. I am currently investigating the galaxy M51 by making a galactic model of it. The goal is to simulate the cluster distribution of M51 and compare this to observations in order to learn which galactic effects are important for the clusters in M51.

My work is mainly theoretical where I use N-body simulations and model galaxies.
