My research is focused on the many-body physics of ultracold quantum gases. These systems, which have been for decades among the most successful experimental benchmarks for fundamental physics, are known to give rise to a vast plethora of exotic phenomena where quantum mechanical effects are dominant. Some of them are quantum droplets, Lee-Huang-Yang liquids and supersolidity.
My interest is to investigate the properties of ultracold Bose and Fermi mixtures, eventually dressed with dipolar interactions, by a variety of theoretical tools, such as mean field theory, extended Gross-Pitaevskii equations and Quantum Monte Carlo methods.
