Personal profile

Research

I am Associate Professor of Theoretical Philosophy, Deputy Head of Department and Assistant Head of Department managing research and doctoral studies at the Department of Philosophy.

I was awarded my PhD in December 2009. The dissertation (a compilation thesis) was about how physical, macroscopic objects persist through time, given B-time.

Over the last years my research has focused primarily on social ontology. Autumn 2011 I was granted funding by the Swedish Research Council (VR) for my project "Social Ontology and Theories of Persistence", and autumn 2015 I was granted funding by Riksbankens Jubileumsfond (RJ) for my project "Causation in the Social Domain".

I have been a visiting researcher at the following institutions:

Centre for Time, University of Sydney, Australia, July-December 2006;

Institute of Philosophy, University of Neuchâtel, Switzerland, May 2017;

Center for Philosophy of Science, University of Pittsburgh, USA, April 2018.
