Personal profile

Research

I am a part-time PhD student admitted in March 2018, and am doing a Cotutelle Joint PhD with Macquarie University in Sydney Australia. Clinically, I am working as an AT-physician, which I will finish in February 2022, and research has been incorporated into my clinical rotation. My principal supervisor is Håkan Brorson, professor in plastic surgery, and my two associate supervisors are Jonas Manjer, professor in general surgery, and Mattias Hoffner, PhD, specialist in general surgery and plastic surgery.

My research is focusing on lymphedemas in both arms and legs, with main focus to evaluate liposuction and compression therapy as treatment for this condition. I am also doing research in the tissue composition in lymphedemas and am looking at different imaging modalities to gain more knowledge about this condition.
