Current research and teaching:

I’m investigating why cleanliness expectations are increasing despite our raising awareness of the imperative to save water and energy. To do this I’m using domestic water and energy consumption, time use surveys, observations and interviews. This distinctly multimodal approach has piqued my interest in best methods for observing social phenomena. Subjects I’m involved in teaching include Research Methods, Sustainable Fashion and Managing Sustainability, Society and Collective Behaviour.
