Research

Since 2020 I am a doctoral student in in Rehabilitation medicine and part of the Rehabilitation Medicine Research Group. My earlier career was as a registered nurse mainly working in Emergency and Intensive Care Units.1992 I graduated with an MD and specialised in Anaesthesia and Intensive Care in 2000 and in Pain 2015. My current clinical work as pain physician is in the Paediatric Chronic Pain Clinic at Skane University Hospital in Lund.  

My research interest is in paediatric chronic pain and the consequences of chronic pain for quality of life and functioning. My research aim is to increase knowledge about children and adolescents in chronic pain and their parents in tertiary pain clinics and outcome of interdisciplinary pain rehabilitation with behavioural medical interventions. My main supervisor is associate professor Marcelo Rivano Fischer and assisting supervisors are PhD Sophia Åkerblom and professor Jan Lexell.
