Personal profile

Research

I am the project leader for the research group PROGS. (Psychological Research on Gender Segregation) that investigates social psychological explanations for the gender segregation in the labor market. We mainly focus on the horizontal gender segregation which simplified can be expressed as women working with "people" and men with "things".

In our latest project, that starts in 2020, we investigate how a recent reform in Sweden, where children learn programming in school, affects their perceptions of technology. We also test interventions that we hope may improve girl's competence beliefs and interest in technology, to reduce gender differences. The project is called "Sure you can code!" and is financed by Forte (The Swedish Research Council for Health, Working life and Welfare).

I've also done research on stereotype threat and collaborate in a project that focuses on health effects of yoga.
