Research

Vahid M. Nik is a Full Professor at the division of Building Physics, Lund University. His background is Mechanical Engineering, specialized in Energy Conversion and Fluid Dynamics. He received his PhD in Building Physics from Chalmers University of Technology in 2012. He was a postdoctoral fellow at EPFL (École polytechnique fédérale de Lausanne) in Switzerland before joining Lund University in 2014. Professor Nik has been conducting several pioneering research works about climate change, buildings and energy systems, and introducing novel approaches to the field. His research interetsts are:

  • Simulation and assessment of the hygrothermal performance of buildings

  • Infrastructure physics
