Research

Nowadays, the top research topics are hardly curable or incurable diseases, such as cancer of a particular region (e.g., lungs or pancreas), an excessive accumulation of collagen (e.g., lung fibrosis due to idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis or chronic obstructive bronchitis) or amyloid in Alzheimer disease. And all of the problems listed above could be considered a group with an akin observation point: stromal changes, especially in protein organization and conformation.
I'm MD in pathology and find clinical practice is possible under research support and versus versa. So, I aim to bring clinical and morphological perspectives to my two labs in searching for particular protein structure changes crucial for the pathogenesis/progression or treatment of complex heterogenous diseases in vivo rodent models. My further perspective is transferring and approbating the set animal model results to human tissue probes we cultivate in vitro and live human tissue in vivo.
