My research is centered on how survivors of Nazi persecution who were migrants and refugees after the war were involved in various sociohistorical processes, with a focus on gender and other differences. As a researcher associated with the North European Center for Research on Antisemitism and Holocaust Studies at Lund University (NORAH) and funded by LMK-stiftelsen, I am working on a project about women survivors of Nazi persecution who were medical professionals during and after the Second World War that aims to gain insight into how their wartime experiences impacted their lives and careers in medicine and science. In addition, I am a researcher in the project "Swedish Remembrance of the Holocaust: Museums, Politics, and Materiality," funded by The Swedish Research Council (VR) and led by ethnologist Britta Geschwind. I am also the PI (principal investigator) for the research initiation project "Incomplete But Not Irrelevant: Analyzing Neglected Material in the 'Ravensbrück Archive'," funded by Riksbankens Jubileumsfond.

Among my recent publications are my PhD dissertation, Afterlives: Jewish and Non-Jewish Polish Survivors of Nazi Persecution in Sweden Documenting Nazi Atrocities, 1945-1946 (Linköping University, 2023), original research articles in Holocaust and Genocide Studies, Holocaust Studies: A Journal of Culture and History, History of Intellectual Culture, Nordisk judaistik/Scandinavian Jewish Studies, and Zagłada Żydów. Studia i Materiały/Holocaust Studies and Materials, as well as chapters in anthologies such as Forced Migrants in Nordic Histories (Helsinki University Press, 2025), winner of the Nordic History Book Award 2025 and Fallen Monuments and Contested Memorials (Routledge, 2023).

In my research and writing, I have drawn heavily on the so-called "Ravensbrück archive" at Lund University, which was recently added to the UNESCO Memory of the World Register. Professor Barbara Törnquist-Plewa and I have recently established the "Ravensbrück archive" Network as a forum for scholars using or interested in using material in this collection in their research to meet, discuss, and collaborate.

I am responsible for arranging the NORAH Seminars on Antisemitism and Holocaust Studies.
