Research

Hydropolitical research nowadays has become dominated by state-and power-centered analysis, particularly by hydro-hegemony, geopolitics, cooperation and conflict, legal and institutional approaches. My research aims to employ an innovative theoretical framework, which adopts the political psychology of emotion, image and memory analysis in examining the hydro-political relations of the Nile River by focusing on Ethiopia, Egypt ans the Sudan. The hydro-mentality analytical framework, what i refer to, will primarily be drawn from the  political psychology, image theory and memory studies, and applied to the hydropolitcal studies through an interdisciplinary research.
