Associate Professor Yang De Marinis, PhD, is a principle investigator at the Department of Clinical Sciences, Lund University, Sweden. She is also Chair Professor at Shandong University (China) and Visiting Associate Professor at University of Science and Technology of China. Her research team is focusing on epigenetics and genetics of diabetes complications, as well as regulation mechanisms of metabolic disorders and multi-centre clinical cohort studies. Currently the group is leading in several cutting edge technologies including genome-wide chromatin immunoprecipitation sequencing, genome engineering by CRISPR/Cas9, machine learning in AI application on clinical cohort studies, and various cell biology and molecular genetic methods.
