Research
My research topic is about “the inventive performance of immigrants in Sweden”, which is based on a unique database that combines demographic information with patent applications filed with the EPO by Swedish residents from 1985 to 2007. I study different groups of immigrants with different backgrounds. The patenting performance is analyzed as an effect of selection of immigrants, migration policy, education, parents’ region of origin (basically Nordic, European, non-European).
