Yue Qiu is a PhD candidate at Combustion Physics, financed by the Knut and Alice Wallenberg (KAW) grant "Towards CO2 neutral energy conversion using advanced laser diagnostics and modelling – COCALD". Her main research goal is to investigate the combustion kinetics of a new concept of CO2-free fuel, metal fuel, such as Iron (Fe), and Aluminium (Al). Currently micron-sized fuel particles are investigated under hot oxidizer atmosphere. Different sub-projects are listed in the following:
